WBK’s courses are designed with beginners in mind and simple tools such as an adjustable spanner, a few allen keys, a puncture kit and a bike pump. These are hands on, practical courses and you’ll work on your own bike.

Booking via email bicyclewiv[at]gmail.com is essential.

Bite Size Sessions 2026

Short 1.5 hour courses, running from 11:30 – 13:00, on a single subject.

Beginners Bike Maintenance

3 hour course. We aim to get you confident in fitting and removing your rear wheel, fixing punctures and adjusting brakes and gears.

Sunday 28 June, 2026. 10:00 – 13:00

A few caveats.

These courses prioritise cable actuated brakes & gears (If your bike has brake and gear cables, you have cable actuated brakes / gears) – we can usually accommodate derailleur and hub gears. If you’re wanting to learn about hydraulic or rod actuated brakes or electronic gears these courses might not be for you.

Where a course features puncture repair, we assume that your bicycle has inner tubes. If your bike has tubeless tyres these courses might not be ideal.
